Your Role
We are looking for an Operations Specialist to join our team in Barcelona and oversee performance and sales across our vacation rentals and hotel properties. The position requires travel to various locations in Barcelona to ensure consistency and operational excellence, working closely with the Operations Manager, Housekeeping Supervisor, and Maintenance Team.
Your Journey
Key responsibilities include:
* Assist the Operations Manager with coordination and oversight of daily operations, ensuring procedures are followed and quality standards are met.
* Manage and assess third‑party service providers to ensure quality and compliance.
* Manage and optimise operating expenses (OPEX) by identifying cost‑saving opportunities.
* Support the Housekeeping Supervisor with organisational planning and supervision of housekeeping activities, ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently upheld.
* Collaborate with the Maintenance Team to prioritise work orders, track maintenance requests, manage inventory of supplies, and assist in preventive maintenance planning.
* Monitor overall operational performance and report any issues, inefficiencies or areas for improvement to management.
* Provide on‑ground guidance and training to team members across departments as needed.
* Step in to cover or assist in supervisory duties during absences or peak periods.
* Foster clear communication and teamwork between operational departments.
* Assist and support with other tasks not directly related to operation when needed.
What You Bring To Your Trip
Qualifications and desired traits include:
* Flexibility to work weekend shifts and holidays (exclusively).
* Valid driver’s licence and/or ownership of a car or motorcycle (preferred).
* Strong command of Spanish and English.
* Problem‑solving and adaptability.
* Leadership ability.
* Strong organisational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
* Hands‑on, proactive attitude and a problem‑solving mindset.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Basic knowledge of maintenance procedures and housekeeping standards (plus).
* Proficiency in basic computer tools such as Excel and task‑management platforms.
