We are an early-stage Spanish startup building the next generation of AI-powered solutions using satellite imagery to improve agriculture and energy decision-making.
Our mission is to turn advanced research into scalable technology that delivers real-world environmental and economic impact.
We are now looking for a Head of Engineering / Technology to build and lead our technical foundation from the ground up.
The Role
As Head of Engineering / Technology, you will translate research concepts into production-ready systems and define the company's technical roadmap.
This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone excited about building technology, teams, and products in a fast-moving startup environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead development of the company's core AI and technology platform
* Build scalable ML pipelines using satellite and geospatial data
* Develop algorithms for agriculture and energy use cases
* Integrate modern AI approaches, including LLM-based workflows where relevant
* Take research prototypes to production-level systems
* Define architecture, infrastructure, and engineering best practices
* Collaborate closely with founders on product and technical strategy
* Help recruit and mentor future engineering team members
What We're Looking For
* Strong background in Machine Learning / AI engineering
* Experience working with satellite imagery, geospatial data, or computer vision
* Ability to move from research ideas to scalable deployed systems
* Strong software engineering skills (Python ecosystem preferred)
* Experience building AI products or technical platforms from scratch
* Comfortable working in an early-stage startup environment
* Entrepreneurial mindset and ownership mentality
Typical candidates may have 5–10 years of experience, but we welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds who can demonstrate strong capability and impact.
Nice to Have
* Experience with remote sensing or Earth observation data
* MLOps or cloud infrastructure experience
* Startup or early-stage company experience
* Exposure to agriculture, climate, or energy applications
* Experience integrating LLMs or foundation models into products
