Job Description:
As a Demand Planner, you will develop and refine monthly demand forecasts by analyzing sales data and incorporating market insights. You will play a key role in aligning Sales and Operations by providing accurate forecasts. You will also analyze forecast accuracy and explore new methods and tools to enhance demand planning efficiency.
Responsibilities:
* Demand Planning:
* Develops demand plans using statistical forecasting and commercial inputs.
* Translates business dynamics (NPD, seasonality, contracts, etc.) into demand plans.
* Manages demand constraints and communicates with stakeholders.
1. Monitoring & Analysis:
* Maintains demand planning data, analyzes trends, and improves forecast accuracy.
* Monitors and challenges forecast inputs from Sales & Marketing.
* Tracks KPIs (forecast accuracy, bias, error) and ensures demand-supply alignment.
* Facilitates monthly demand meetings with Sales & Marketing.
* Aligns operational demand forecasts through cross-functional collaboration.
* Works with key customer planning teams for integrated planning.
* Identifies and implements forecasting process improvements.
* Participates in projects to enhance forecast reliability.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics or Engineering. Master’s in Supply Chain would be desirable.
* At least 3-5 years of previous experience in a similar role.
* Advanced Excel skills (Power Queries, Macros, Dashboards) and Business Intelligence tools (Power BI).
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, know how to influence and persuade, and always maintain a constructive, trusted relationship with your stakeholders.
* Willingness to travel 10% of the time.
