Enterprise Capabilities (EC) is AECOM's strategic group aimed at being the engine and key element in the collaboration policy across different regions and business lines. This growth is due to the successful implementation of collaboration strategies with our internal clients in regions like the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Latin America, etc.
Job Description
We are seeking a Railway Track Engineer with experience in railway design to join our growing Linear Infrastructure team. If you are looking for new international challenges and want to be part of a leading team within AECOM, this is your opportunity.
Main responsibilities include:
* Work autonomously on small projects or packages of larger projects supported by Enterprise Capabilities, following procedures and practices applicable to linear infrastructure.
* Lead or participate in teams responsible for designing railway lines, including geometric design in plan and profile, corridor modeling, track devices, maintenance zones, construction phases, etc., as well as coordination with other disciplines (drainage, bridges, etc.).
* Execute engineering work within agreed budgets and schedules with limited supervision.
* Perform preliminary checks of own work before transmitting it and participate in quality control reviews of documentation produced by other team members.
* Prepare project deliverables reviewed by senior team members.
* Guide and support recently graduated engineers.
Requirements
The main requirements are:
* At least 7 years of experience in railway design collaborating with international and multicultural teams.
* Experience with international standards and regulations (e.g., AASTHO, AREMA, Australian Codes, etc.).
* High proficiency in geometric design software such as OpenRail, Power Inroads, Civil 3D.
* High proficiency in CAD software (preferably AutoCAD and/or MicroStation).
* Commitment to Quality Control Policies and Quality Management Systems.
* Experience in projects developed in America or Australia is a plus.
* Intermediate-high level of English (spoken and written).
Education:
* Master's in Roads, Canals, and Ports or Bachelor's in Civil Engineering.
* Licenses as a Professional Engineer in the USA or Australia are a plus.
