Technicien de centre de données (Data Center Technician)
Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Data Center Technician to join its expanding Infrastructure Operations team in Pointe‑Claire, QC, CAN. The role ensures overall availability and reliability of data‑center operations, carrying out computer hardware and network diagnostics, physical repair, installation, documentation, and process improvement.
Essential security clearance: candidate must obtain and maintain a Canadian Personnel Security Clearance to the required level.
Key Job Responsibilities
* On‑site coverage in shifts and/or weekly on‑call rotation.
* Respond to high‑severity events within defined SLA.
* Participate in data‑center power and cooling events.
* Perform break‑fix of servers and network devices.
* Troubleshoot network connection problems.
* Coordinate and build relationships with various data‑center teams.
* Interact with third‑party vendors and contractors.
* Seek opportunities for self‑improvement and process/system enhancements.
* Contribute to the development of other team members.
A Day in the Life
From day one, you will go through an onboarding process, receive continuous training, and have opportunities for advancement. You will work independently and as part of a team, gaining a deep understanding of data‑center operations and staying at the forefront of evolving technology.
Basic Qualifications
* Knowledge of operating systems, hardware, storage, networking, security, database administration, and cloud infrastructure.
Preferred Qualifications
* Knowledge of data‑center infrastructure design, operations, or delivery.
