You will play a key role in delivering Database-as-a-Service (DBaaS) solutions for the Magenta TV platform, ensuring high availability, performance, and security of business-critical systems.Tech stack & toolsDatabases: PostgreSQL, AlloyDBCloud: Google Cloud Platform (IAM, DMS, VPC, Monitoring & Logging)Infrastructure: Terraform (IaC), KubernetesSecurity & backup: Cloud-native solutions for backup, restore, and disaster recoveryYour responsibilitiesOperation, monitoring and optimisation of PostgreSQL and AlloyDB databasesSetting up, maintaining and further developing backup, recovery and disaster recovery strategiesPerformance analysis, tuning and capacity planningAutomation of recurring operational and administrative tasks (e.g. monitoring, provisioning, patching)Ensuring data integrity, security and availabilitySupporting development projects in database design, query optimisation and deployment processesIncident, problem and change management within the ITIL processCreation and maintenance of technical documentation and operating manualsParticipation in on-call duty in 24/7 operation: one week each month and a halfQualificationsSkill requirements:Proven experience with PostgreSQL and AlloyDB in production environments.Strong knowledge of Google Cloud tools and services.
Familiarity with Kubernetes and cloud monitoring/logging.Fluent English (minimum B1 level).
