DESCRIPTION
A top international university in Madrid is seeking a Narrative Activation & Performance Lead to join its dynamic brand team within the marketing department. This role supports the development of the institutional narrative ecosystem and translates narrative strategy into clear, coherent, high-performing written communication across priority touchpoints. This role co-develops narrative systems and leads end-to-end execution: deployment, quality control, performance measurement, and continuous optimization. The role requires strong cross-functional collaboration, multi-stakeholder management, and team coordination in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the evolution of the narrative ecosystem, ensuring consistency across various levels of messaging.
- Translate narrative and verbal identity frameworks into practical guidance, briefs, trainings and content blueprints.
- Lead written content workflows across priority touchpoints, including selected webs, campaign messaging, commercial nurturing, and blog initiatives.
- Manage and coordinate a small team of copywriters and external writing partners, ensuring quality, speed, and clarity of output.
- Partner closely with audiovisual content generation and social media teams to ensure aligned storytelling across formats and campaigns.
- Define and monitor performance KPIs for written content, including SEO impact, LLM discoverability, engagement quality, and conversion contribution.
- Run ongoing test-and-learn cycles to optimize performance and improve content effectiveness over time.
- Facilitate alignment across stakeholders, proactively managing complexity, and making strategic narrative decisions when needed.
REQUIREMENTS
- 3-5 years of experience in any or various of the following: content strategy, editorial management, narrative development, brand communications.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in high-paced, complex environments.
- Experience leading small teams and external providers.
- Fully bilingual English and Spanish (written and spoken).
- Strong writing skills, with good editorial judgment.
- Solid SEO knowledge and practical understanding of LLM-oriented content strategy (required).
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to turn insights into actionable improvements.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict-management skills.
- Proactive, autonomous, and execution-focused.
- Must be based in Madrid and have legal authorization to work in Spain.
