We are conducting a confidential executive search on behalf of a global company in the healthcare sector for the position of International Business Director. Reporting directly to the CEO, this is a strategic leadership role with full responsibility for overseeing international subsidiaries and driving commercial development across Latin America and Europe. Main Objective To define and execute the company’s international strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, operational excellence, and effective coordination across all international markets. This position plays a key role in global commercial development and in the transformation of the international business model. Key Responsibilities Lead the company’s international strategy, ensuring global market expansion, long-term development, and alignment with business objectives. Manage and optimise the performance of subsidiaries, ensuring efficiency, sustainable growth, and global P&L responsibility. Expand sales and business growth, contributing to the company's long-term international objectives. Implement global strategies across sales, operations, finance, people, and systems in each market and across commercial alliances. Oversee and coordinate global product launches, ensuring availability of resources and effective execution. Define and implement commercial, operational, and financial strategies tailored to each region. Lead the commercial planning and budgeting processes, including control and analysis of sales budgets. Conduct strategic analysis of markets, client dynamics, industry trends, and competitive positioning. Identify market opportunities and integrate them into the strategic and marketing plans. Plan and allocate the necessary resources to support the implementation of the company’s global strategy. Ensure effective interdepartmental coordination and alignment of internal operations with external business needs. Manage multicultural teams with a focus on transformational leadership and collaboration across countries. Foster talent development at both local and global levels within the organisation. Provide strategic support and advice to senior management regarding current performance and future growth opportunities. Drive innovation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives to boost profitability and competitiveness. Promote and embody the company’s mission, vision, and values in all international markets. Candidate Profile Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Marketing, Finance or related fields. MBA or Master’s in International Business Management highly valued. Complementary training in leadership, international strategy, or digital transformation is a plus. Minimum 10 years’ experience in international executive roles (e.g., Country Director, Regional Director, VP International). Experience leading large international teams and managing global P&Ls (≥€100M). Knowledge of both Latin American and European markets, including regulatory and commercial environments. Background in healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals or consumer health. Experience in international growth or transformation projects will be positively considered. Fluent in English and Spanish; additional languages such as French, German or Italian will be valued. Availability to travel internationally at least 50%.
