Finance Director, International – Kinetico
Purpose: The Finance Director, International serves as a strategic finance leader and trusted business partner reporting to the SVP/CFO and supporting the President, International. This role leads and controls end‑to‑end accounting, finance and reporting activities for Kinetico’s European businesses, while driving transformation of the finance function across the region.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide financial leadership and strategic direction for the company’s European operations, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
* Plan, direct, and coordinate all finance functions, including mentoring and development of the international finance team.
* Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting for European subsidiaries (P&L, balance sheets, cash flow reports) in compliance with local and US GAAP.
* Provide monthly, quarterly and annual operating statements and develop financial KPIs to support business decisions.
* Monitor and optimize cash flow, working capital, liquidity, inter‑company financing and cash‑flow related credit control.
* Drive M&A evaluation, due diligence and integration within the European region, managing risk.
* Develop and enforce processes and procedures to enhance internal controls and workflows.
* Lead and develop the European finance team, fostering high‑performance culture and cross‑functional collaboration.
* Maintain alignment with global finance policies and standards, ensuring compliance in all European entities.
Key Performance Indicators
* Deliver financial information on schedule with high quality of content and presentation.
* Build and improve processes, enabling efficient workflows.
* Implement and comply with global finance policies, demonstrated through audit results.
* Manage a high‑performance team of direct reports with critical thinking and technical competence.
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related discipline.
* 10+ years of corporate accounting/finance experience, including 5+ years in a senior role.
* Experience in a multi‑location, multi‑geographic business, preferably manufacturing and distribution.
* Recognized global accounting qualification or equivalent.
* Strong technical knowledge of financial reporting in a group environment.
* Self‑starter with strong work ethic, able to deliver against tight deadlines.
* Fluent in English (Spanish fluency preferred). Excellent communication and people skills.
* Analytical, problem‑solving ability and transformative mindset.
* Operates well under pressure and can prioritize effectively.
