YOUR PROJECT ASSIGNMENT
TEICON ENGINEERING invites you to join an ambitious project in Tarragona, where we are constructing a state‑of‑the‑art facility for the production of industrial gases. The project involves fabrication, preservation, and preparation of large process modules for methane and ethylene production prior to shipment to the United States.
* Project Location: Tarragona, Spain
* Start Date: ASAP
* Completion Date: 15 April 2027
* Contract Type: Fixed‑term employment or freelance contract
* Workload: 56 hours per week
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
* Lead the implementation and execution of the project preservation plan to ensure proper protection and maintenance of materials, equipment, and systems throughout construction and storage phases.
* Plan, coordinate, and monitor all preservation activities on site or prefabrication yard to safeguard asset integrity until commissioning or shipment.
* Review and approve preservation procedures, methods, and consumables proposed by contractors and ensure compliance with project specifications, vendor requirements, and statutory regulations.
* Coordinate closely with construction management, quality management, material management, mechanical completion, and commissioning teams to ensure alignment of preservation objectives.
* Organise and chair preservation meetings with stakeholders, track action items, and communicate preservation status and risks to site management.
* Oversee contractor performance with respect to preservation quality standards, acceptance criteria, and compliance requirements.
* Ensure readiness for commissioning by maintaining preservation of long‑lead items and idle equipment and by implementing corrective actions where necessary.
* Monitor preservation documentation, reporting, and IT systems to ensure traceability and availability of data for subsequent project phases.
* Conduct site inspections and audits to verify compliance with preservation specifications and contractual obligations.
* Lead the preservation team, allocate resources, assign responsibilities, and support training to ensure consistent application of preservation practices.
* Promote safe working practices and ensure compliance with project HSE requirements across all preservation activities.
YOUR PROFILE
* Degree in mechanical engineering, process engineering, materials engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.
* Several years of experience in preservation, mechanical completion, quality, or construction roles within industrial, chemical, or energy projects.
* Strong knowledge of preservation techniques for industrial equipment, including corrosion protection, storage methods, and preventive maintenance.
* Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and contractors on complex construction sites or module yards.
* Familiarity with preservation IT systems, documentation processes, and reporting requirements.
* Ability to analyse risks, prioritise activities, and ensure timely execution under demanding project schedules.
* Excellent communication and coordination skills in multinational environments.
* English language skills are required;
knowledge of Spanish isconsidered an advantage.
* Structured, proactive, and solution‑oriented mindset with strong leadership capabilities.
