Position: Data Scientist – The Hotels Network

We're looking for a talented and motivated Data Scientist to join our growing Data Science team at The Hotels Network.
The Hotels Network is an award-winning technology company providing innovative software (B2B SaaS) for the hospitality industry. We build pioneering technology that enables hotels to optimize their guests’ booking experience and regain their fair share of online revenue, helping hotel brands increase direct bookings.
Based at our headquarters in Barcelona as well as in other strategic locations around the globe, The Hotels Network team is made up of 150 people from 25 different nationalities. We are applying machine learning techniques on a unique industry dataset built up through interaction with tens of thousands of hotels.
What We Do
Our Data Science team shapes the direction of our platform, combining deep technical expertise with real-world impact across ML/AI domains—from user behavior prediction and NLP to LLMs, computer vision, time-series forecasting, and causal inference. With a dataset built from millions of daily user sessions across 20,000+ hotel websites, we’ve developed AI-powered products that lead the market in personalization and performance.
Examples of our work include:
* Oraculo Product: A predictive system forecasting user behavior (purchase likelihood, price sensitivity, travel flexibility) to enable personalized experiences and boost engagement and conversion for hotel clients.
* AI-Driven Web Content Analysis: NLP-based tools analyzing content across more than 20,000 hotel websites with behavior data from over 400 million annual visitors to provide actionable insights for optimizing the user journey.
* AI-Powered Personalization Tools: An LLM-based recommendation engine that configures personalized web tools for each property, targeting specific customer segments with relevant messaging.

What We’re Looking For
Requirements :
* Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or similar with strong technical skills and relevant experience.
* 3+ years of industry experience applying machine learning techniques.
* Proven track record of end-to-end data science project execution—from ideation and planning to implementation, evaluation, and delivery.
* Strong theoretical and practical understanding of machine learning and statistics.
* Proficient in Python with experience using core Python ML libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn, TensorFlow/Keras or PyTorch, matplotlib, seaborn, FastAPI).
* Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, resourceful attitude.
* Self-motivated, creative, and always eager to learn and try new tools.
Nice to Have :
* Experience with Airflow DAGs and Apache Kafka.
* Familiarity with AWS (e.g., S3 with boto3, ECR).
* Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
* Proficiency with Linux, version control systems (Git/GitHub), and CI/CD pipelines.
* Experience managing and processing large datasets.
* Hands-on experience with Deep Learning, particularly PyTorch.
* Experience deploying RAGs and agentic workflows in production.
* Familiarity with production best practices: code reviews, testing, documentation, and long-term maintenance.
* Master’s Degree in a relevant field is a plus.
