At Grand Hotel Central we are looking for a Groups & Events coordinator to join our Sales team.
The Groups & Events coordinator works closely with the F&B and Revenue Department under the supervision of the Groups & Events Manager, to action enquiries and convert business. This position has responsibility for responding to the event's enquiries of the predetermined geographic markets, to maximize room and banqueting revenue & utilization of meeting space, works to ensure at a minimum delivery of budgeted revenues.
WORK ACTIVITIES:
Managing the communication and logistics between the different operations department.
Response to events quotes received by the department in a maximum of 3 hours, either by phone or e-mail.
Handles all reservations aspects of a group. Room block monitoring, rooming lists, reporting pick up, VIP and upgraded accommodations, client communication relating to rooms reservations.
Team player and flexible to assist with other tasks within the F&B Department as needed per operations. The candidate must be able to work on different time schemes based on operations requirements.
Welcoming clients and being the point of contact between F&B department and the client.
Supervision of event set-up and dismantling and support In the set up If It will be necessary.
Attend weekly BEO Meeting and prepare the documents for upcoming groups.
Provides exceptional high-quality service and ensure client's satisfaction.
Perform Site Inspections for event requests, with or without the Groups & Events Manager.
Updating in the CRM and PMS system of all contacts, room groups or events.
The candidate should have at least 1 years of experience in a similar position within a 5-star hotel or chain portfolio. Must be fluent in Spanish and English, not required but desirable, French.
