In this role you will contribute to the growth of Sompo International's cyber insurance book in Iberia, aligning with the Financial Lines team's strategic direction. You will issue policies, service stakeholders, and help differentiate Sompo in Spain and Portugal. You will work closely with clients and brokers to expand profitable business and diversify risk. This is a hands-on underwriting role with travel to broker meetings and cross-selling opportunities within the Iberian market. You will shape the cyber footprint and impact the profitability and risk-adjusted return on capital.

- Source submissions and underwrite cyber insurance to grow profitability and market share in Iberia
- Assist cyber product leader and manage client/broker relationships while identifying new business opportunities
- Develop a well-diversified book in risk profile and segmentation
- Analyse underwriting information to secure appropriate terms aligned with guidelines
- Negotiate contracts and conduct underwriting reviews, including broker meetings travel
- Promote Sompo Cyber footprint in Spain and Portugal and raise brand recognition
- Cross-sell other Sompo International Specialty Lines products to meet evolving insured needs
Responsabilidades
- Qualification in law, economics, finance, or IT engineering
- 1-3 years of cyber insurance underwriting experience
- Experience building a profitable cyber insurance book in European markets
- Disciplined underwriting approach xqysrnh
- Knowledge of cyber insurance market, regulation, and products
- Excellent networking skills with clients and brokers in Iberia
- Spanish and English at working level
- Analytical, energetic, meticulous, driven, team player
- Strong presentation and negotiation skills
- Flexibility to travel and deliver high service quality
