We are looking for an Accountant to support accounting, financial planning, and analysis activities for our Iberian business. In this role you will help ensure the accuracy and integrity of our financial results while working closely with the Finance Senior Manager on a wide range of accounting matters. You will play a key part in monthly closings, statutory compliance, internal controls and financial analysis that supports decision-making across the organization.
Responsibilities
* Perform monthly closing activities to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
* Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
* Develop financial analyses and supporting schedules for internal needs and audits.
* Maintain local statutory ledgers in accordance with high‑quality standards.
* Partner with the Finance Senior Manager to maintain efficient, compliant accounting processes and strong internal controls.
* Conduct detailed financial analyses and collaborate with tax advisors to prepare GAAP technical position papers.
* Support budgeting and forecasting, including variance and cluster financial analysis.
* Work with external accounting service providers to ensure accurate P&L and balance sheet control.
* Provide ad hoc accounting support and analysis as requested by the Finance Senior Manager.
Qualifications
* A university degree in Business, Economics, Accounting or a related field.
* At least 3‑4 years of experience in accounting, preferably gained within a multinational company and/or consultancy environment.
* Strong accounting and controlling knowledge, with the ability to oversee monthly P&L and balance sheet activities.
* High proficiency in Excel and advanced skills in Microsoft Office; SAP experience required.
* Ability to maintain accurate, compliant statutory ledgers and documentation.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, while also understanding the broader financial picture.
* Experience collaborating with tax advisors or external accounting partners.
* Excellent communication skills, with fluency in English and Spanish.
* A proactive, organized approach to managing deadlines, priorities and process improvements.
