Siemens is looking for a Global Commodity Manager in Horizontal IT who will be responsible for strategic IT procurement activities, mainly Application Management Services (AMS). The role aims to optimize conditions within an excellent supplier base through pooling volumes and developing common strategies, with strong alignment to Global Commodity Management.
The ideal candidate must have the ability to develop and maintain key relationships across Siemens, establish and manage supplier relationships, and communicate effectively with Siemens management. The role requires self-management, handling multiple projects, setting targets, meeting deadlines, following processes, and implementing projects for optimal results.

* Continuously develop our IT value sourcing concept and associated IT consulting / AMS sourcing strategy.
* Derive the best sourcing strategies based on IT strategy and regional requirements, translating global strategies into local actions.
* Act as a demand manager, defining participation levels, stakeholder engagement plans, and processes.
* Manage suppliers through selection, performance reviews, and active development in collaboration with IT stakeholders.
* Conduct annual price negotiations, extend or update master agreements, and manage tenders and project negotiations.
* Promote strategic projects to industrialize AMS procurement, conduct pilots, and support regional rollouts.
Who are we looking for?
* Degree in industrial engineering, business informatics, business administration, or equivalent experience.
* Experience in IT procurement or related fields, preferably in a multinational environment.
* Deep knowledge of the IT provider market, including software engineering, IT consulting, and AMS.
* Proficiency in procurement processes and Siemens’ internal tools.
* Strong stakeholder engagement skills across cultures, fluent in English and German.
* Critical thinker with innovative problem-solving skills.
* Forward-looking, familiar with emerging technologies like AI, and their impact on sourcing strategies and supplier performance.
* Confident in challenging the status quo and willing to travel.
