Description
The IT Business Analyst, Financial Consolidation & Tax Reporting is responsible for connecting the business to the technical Oracle EPM – FCCS and TRCS environments by providing techno-functional support to the daily operational business processes as well as proposing, designing, and implementing new requirements and enhancements to the solutions. They have frequent engagement with business leaders, customers, and the IT organization and are required to understand how changes to services, products, software and hardware can add value to the organization, while assessing the feasibility of these ideas in terms of financial, technological and functional boundaries.
Key Responsibilities
1. Analyse (existing requirements, process, data, trends, market) & Define Scope
Communicate perceived opportunities to the IT Manager, Financial Performance Management Systems (Oracle EPM Service Owner). Understand, analyse and document business / functional requirements against market trends and existing/required processes.
Create scoping document to align business requirements. Provide input for business case creation and resource planning.
2. Plan & Define
Drive early business/functional designs, high-level solutioning sessions and high-level assessment in terms of efforts (resources, time, budget, skills). Assess resource requirement and development timeline
3. Design Solution, Build, Deploy
Design, propose and translate new requirements and enhancement to the solutions into functional requirements.
Translate business needs into relevant solutions in line customer objectives and IT strategy and work with the solution management and development team to assist on developing technical requirements.
Prepare quality assurance measures in accordance with the specified requirements to translate the impact of solutions to the business.
Support project managers during building and testing phases, as required.
Ensure compliance to internal controls and Galderma standards.
Integration of new solutions to existing IT landscape, replacement of local solutions by global systems.
Coordinate the development of the functional specification documents, and the solution testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Be the primary IT contact for any task executed by external consultants, such as design change request, interface or report setup.
Participate in Change Advisory Board meetings to drive evolutions/ enhancements to the systems.
4. Run
Establishment and support of the sustain model around the systems, in liaison with the Operations Manager for IT Finance as well as application maintenance & support partners.
Support delivery as required (L2 / L3 support).
Support audits from internal and external regulatory bodies.
Skills & Qualifications
5. Strong professional experience in a similar position including Accounting, Financial Reporting functions.
6. Experience with financial performance management applications/platforms including Oracle EPM, specifically Oracle Financial Consolidation & Close Cloud (FCCS), Tax Reporting Cloud (TRCS) and Enterprise Data Management Cloud (EDMCS).
7. Experience in a fast-paced environment, commitment to execution in a rapidly changing and evolving global environment.
8. Ability to communicate with and influence finance business leaders/partners and super users, as well as ability to establish new relationships quickly.
9. Strong time and work management capabilities, prioritize key business peaks.
10. Collaborative, yet able to operate independently; self-motivated/driven yet able to influence in a matrixed environment.
