About Cardiovascular
Fueled by innovation at the intersection of biology and technology, we're developing the next generation of smarter, less invasive, more personalized treatments. Our Cardiovascular team develops leading solutions for heart recovery, electrophysiology, and stroke, continually elevating standards of care for stroke, heart failure, and atrial fibrillation (AFib) patients. Your talents will help patients on their journey to wellness.
Key Responsibilities
* Therapy Development: Establish Impella & Heart Recovery as the new Standard of Care in Murcia and surrounding areas in conjunction with our local distribution partner. This includes establishing our brand, providing training to MDs & hospital staff, leveraging existing accounts for deeper Impella therapy penetration, and building relationships with key decision-makers and KOLs.
* Account Management / Account Training: Enable patient growth and clinical performance in key centers across the region, coordinate strategies with partners, lead clinical activities, and establish transparent case reporting. Initiate and coordinate Abiomed customer training programs to expand physician skills and drive Impella adoption.
* Patient Support: Provide onsite support for elective cases, prioritize patient implant support, and perform bedside visits in ICU-CCU. Improve patient outcomes by implementing latest clinical strategies, supporting clinical staff, and conducting After Action Reviews. Establish peer networks, monitor activity, and collect clinical data.
* Distribution partner support: Build and manage strong relationships with distribution contacts.
Qualifications
* Nursing or perfusionist degree required; advanced degree preferred.
* Experience in cardiology, ICU/CCU, CVICU, Cath Lab, CVOR, EP, etc., with proven expertise with Impella devices.
* Passion for training, education, and recognized as a clinical expert.
* Experience in educational design and curriculum development is a plus.
Skills and Experience
* Experience in medical devices, biopharma, healthcare, or regulated fields is advantageous.
* Ability to lead and motivate healthcare professionals internationally.
* Self-motivated, flexible, goal-oriented, and able to exercise independent judgment.
* Strong communication skills in English & Spanish; additional languages a plus.
* Willing to travel 75% of the time within the area and occasionally to Germany for training and events.
