We are looking for a motivated Laboratory Technician to join our team in a dynamic and highly specialized environment. This role is essential to support our mission of advancing reproductive genetics and molecular diagnostics, ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation for the patients and clinics we serve.

Responsibilities

* Support the mission of advancing reproductive genetics and molecular diagnostics, ensuring high standards of quality and patient outcomes.
Qualifications
* Laboratory science degree, or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution (Ciclos formativos de grado superior).
* Proficient in standard biology laboratory techniques, such as laboratory math, pipetting, buffer preparation, etc.
* Relevant molecular skill set including RNA and DNA extraction from blood, saliva, and other tissue specimens (manual and automated extraction), nucleic acids quantification, PCR, RT-PCR, MLPA, and sample library preparation for Next Generation Sequencing (NGS).
* Experience with NGS (Thermo Fisher and Illumina platforms) and Fragment Analyzer systems preferred.
* Experience with daily setup and maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.
* Ability to explain instrument platforms, including test principles and controls.
* Previous experience with automated liquid handling equipment is a plus.
* Basic understanding of MS Office programs; Intermediate English (written and spoken) strongly preferred.

* Ability to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards.
* Dependability, ability to follow instructions, and plan contingencies when needed.
* Manual dexterity for using common laboratory equipment and sterile techniques; ability to perform repetitive motions.
* Willingness to work different shifts; rotation might be required for weekends/holidays.
* Other duties as assigned or needed.
