The purpose of this resolution is to approve the call for applications for a maximum of twelve (12) pre-doctoral contracts in the **** financial year, within the framework of the R&D;&I; Support Plan of the Polytechnic University of Cartagena.2. Six (6) of the pre-doctoral contracts must be co-financed by R&D;&I; activities that guarantee a minimum of three years of employment.3. The purpose of the grants is to enable research staff in training to carry out research tasks within the scope of a specific and innovative project as part of their doctoral thesis.SECOND. ACADEMIC REQUIREMENTSa) Be enrolled in a Doctoral Programme at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena in the ********* academic year **** academic year or hold a master's degree that gives access to a doctoral programme in the academic year or have enrolled in the academic year in an official university master's degree that gives access to a doctoral programme in the academic year.b) Not hold a PhD from any Spanish or foreign university.THIRD. REQUIREMENTS FOR THE RESEARCH DIRECTORHold a doctoral thesis, meet the EINDOC requirements to supervise a thesis, and have a contractual or civil service relationship with the UPCT for the entire duration of the grant.For these purposes, being employed under a talent attraction programme with a commitment to stabilisation at the end of the employment contract is considered sufficient.Participate in a research activity with sufficient budget availability to co-finance the pre-doctoral contract in th
