Your role
To support our growth plans in Spain, we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager. The Business Development Managers is a real hunter who is eager to explore and develop new business opportunities and establish new partnerships. The Business Development Manager oversees all local sales and work closely with the Commercial Director to achieve the commercial targets.
Your mission
* You realize growth by contracting new customers for the Katoen Natie logistics platform in Spain.
* You co‑define the business development strategy. You translate this business development strategy into a go‑to‑market plan, and you implement the necessary sales actions.
* You expand your network, create awareness, interest and trust by organising direct sales actions and by being actively present at fairs – seminars – events as a member of the sector organisations.
* You cooperate with the tender team which results in a strong value proposition to potential customers.
* You connect with the C‑level of the potential customers whom you convince and turn into new customers.
* Your home base is Tarragona but we expect you to spend most of your time together with the prospects.
Your profile
* As a hunter, prospection and networking is your second nature.
* You have a strong entrepreneurial spirit and you like to develop new business and establish new partnerships.
* You can work independently and you’re driven by sales results.
* You have a min 5-year business development experience in a B2B function, ideally within the logistic sector.
* Business/Sales/Logistics Bachelors or Master Degree.
* Willing to travel on a frequent base (20–25%).
* Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English and Spanish.
