Tasks and Responsabilities Job Title: Software Support Engineer
Work Regime: Full-time & Hybrid
Overview / Summary:
We are looking for a Software Support Engineer to work in an international relevant partner in the automotive sector.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
Lead the design and development of technical requirements for current and future powertrain electrical/electronic On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) systems, ensuring full alignment with applicable regulations.
Act as the primary interface between Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) controls teams and the Technical Safety Regulatory Compliance (TSRC) department, translating complex regulatory requirements into clear and actionable specifications for software and algorithm development.
Prepare and deliver technical diagnostic presentations to the TSRC department, promoting close collaboration with engineering teams.
Develop OBD checklists for new or modified hardware and define robust Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) strategies in compliance with regulatory requirements.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional engineering and software teams to troubleshoot and resolve complex diagnostic system issues.
Requirements Mandatory Requirements:
Automotive, Electrical or Mechanical diploma or similar;
At least 5 years' experience working in the automotive sector;
Experience with OBD + SCANTOOL protocols;
Basic knowledge of hybrid powertrains and its critical components (engine ECU, power electronics, DCDC converter, HV-Battery, On-board-charger);
English, spoken and written is mandatory.
Complementary Requirements:
French is also an advantage;
Knowledge of ASPICE and AUTOSAR is a plus.
