About The Role
As an Operational Excellence Associate, you will play a critical role in transforming operational processes within Swiss Re’s Credit & Surety (C&S) Line of Business. You will focus on supporting the implementation of operational model changes, ensuring alignment with strategic goals, and enhancing efficiency and effectiveness across the Surety business. Your expertise in Surety and C&S operations will be key to identifying opportunities for improvement and driving sustainable change.
Key Responsibilities
* Collaborate with stakeholders across the Credit & Surety Line of Business to implement operational model changes that improve efficiency and align with business objectives.
* Conduct in-depth reviews of current Surety operational processes to identify inefficiencies and propose innovative solutions.
* Leverage your understanding of Surety and C&S business to deliver tailored recommendations for process improvements.
* Work closely with underwriting, claims, finance, and other functions to ensure seamless integration of operational changes into existing workflows.
* Provide insights and support to ensure alignment with international and European Surety market practices and requirements.
* Analyze operational data and metrics to monitor the performance of implemented changes and ensure sustainable improvements.
* Act as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and support on operational best practices within the Surety business.
About The Team
You will join the Credit & Surety team, working alongside experts in underwriting, claims, and operations to deliver impactful changes. This role is integral to enhancing Swiss Re’s operational capabilities and supporting the growth and success of the Surety business in the international and European markets.
About You
You are a motivated and detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of the Credit & Surety business and operational models. You have a passion for driving operational excellence and are eager to contribute to the transformation of the Surety business.
We Are Looking For Someone Who
* Has 3-5 years of experience in operational roles or process improvement initiatives within the Credit & Surety business or a related field.
* Demonstrates a solid understanding of Surety operations and a working knowledge of the international or European Surety market.
* Possesses strong analytical skills with the ability to identify inefficiencies and propose pragmatic solutions.
* Is a confident communicator with the ability to engage and collaborate with stakeholders across functions and levels.
* Has experience working in Credit & Surety operations or a similar insurance context, with a focus on process improvement and operational excellence.
Nice to Have
* Familiarity with the legal, regulatory, and economic environment of Surety in the European market.
* A proactive approach to identifying and addressing operational challenges.

Role
For Spain, the base salary range for this position is between EUR 42,000 and EUR 70,000 (for a full-time role). The specific salary offered considers the requirements, scope, complexity, and responsibilities of the role and the applicant’s profile including education, qualifications, expertise, and experience. In addition to the base salary, Swiss Re offers an attractive performance-based variable compensation component and a variety of global and location-specific benefits. Eligibility may vary depending on the terms of Swiss Re policies and your employment contract.
