This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Payroll Officer who thrives in a close-knit team environment, enjoys job-sharing, and can handle general payroll tasks and employee inquiries. The role also involves supporting various administrative functions within the Human Resources team.
Job Description
1. Payroll Operations: Assist in end-to-end fortnightly and monthly payroll processing, including superannuation, payroll tax, salary sacrifice, and employee lifecycle transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
2. Reporting & Systems: Generate payroll and HR reports, maintain employee data in Workday and ADP, support external reporting obligations like WGEA and income protection, and assist with our current Workday to ADP Payroll Integration project.
3. Stakeholder Support: Collaborate with employees, internal teams, and ADP to resolve payroll issues and provide guidance on payroll-related matters.
4. HR & Administrative Support: Assist the Human Resources team with ad hoc administrative tasks and contribute to broader HR initiatives when capacity allows.
Required Skills and Competencies
1. Experience in processing a payroll function from end-to-end, including related tasks such as payroll tax, superannuation, work cover, and reporting.
2. Exposure to various payroll types (e.g., salaried, EBA, project-based teams, or international employees) is beneficial.
3. Familiarity with ADP and/or Workday is highly regarded but not essential. Proficiency in systems and Microsoft Office tools is expected.
4. Highly organized, deadline-driven, with attention to detail.
5. Team player with a customer service orientation, willing to assist others.
