We are looking for a Planning & Scheduler Engineer:
The Planning Engineer is responsible for developing project schedules during the proposal phase. This includes analyzing the client’s tender documents, identifying project control requirements and potential schedule risks, and creating mitigation plans to ensure alignment with client milestones. The position requires availability to travel around the world in all different Projects in the company and flexibility to develop innovative proposals with different clients.
Responsibilities
- Analyze the client’s invitation to bid requirements and identify potential schedule risks, developing mitigation plans to ensure timely completion.
- Coordination with the Project Directors in our several Projects in the company.
- Prepare project schedules at all levels during the proposal phase using Primavera P6.
- Define key project milestones based on client requirements and ensure activities align with these milestones.
- Review and evaluate activity durations across all disciplines for inclusion in the schedule ensuring consistency with project milestones.
- Prepare planned progress curves based on the project schedule.
- Generate manpower histograms for all phases: Home Office Manpower Histogram, Construction Direct Manhours Histogram, and Construction Supervision Histogram.
- Prepare a schedule narrative outlining the basis of the schedule and key dates for client submission.
- Track and respond to client clarifications and amendments related to the offer.
- Prepare presentations and coordinate meetings with partners and clients.
Skills and Experience
- Relevant technical degree (e.G. Civil/Mechanical Engineering)
- Extensive experience in EPC Projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office.
- Strong interpersonal/communicative skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This includes the ability to clearly convey information to team members, stakeholders, and management.
- Ability to manage multiple proposals in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.
- Effective problem-solving, identifying potential issues, developing solutions, and implementing plans to address them.
