Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Senior Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities for the Foundation package of offshore wind projects. This position plays a key role in managing complex, high-value contracts and global supply chains in a technically demanding environment. While foundation package experience is preferred, candidates with relevant procurement experience in other offshore wind packages (e.G., cables, substations, wind turbines, transport & installation) are strongly encouraged to apply.Location:
Fully remote, with occasional travel required for supplier engagement, site visits, and project meetings.Work Pattern:
12-month contract (with potential for extension based on project needs)Key Responsibilities
Strategic Procurement Leadership:
Develop and execute procurement strategies for offshore wind Foundation packages (e.G., monopiles, jackets, suction buckets, transition pieces). Lead end-to-end tendering processes, including RFI / RFP development, bid evaluation, commercial negotiations, and contract awards. Drive competitive procurement aligned with technical specifications, risk profiles, and project milestones.Contract and Risk Management:
Negotiate and administer high-value contracts with global suppliers and subcontractors. Identify and mitigate key commercial and contractual risks. Collaborate with legal, project, and engineering teams to resolve claims and change orders. Ensure all contract deliverables, obligations, and notices are tracked and managed.Supplier and Market Engagement:
Develop and maintain strong relationships with Tier 1 foundation suppliers and critical subcontractors. Monitor global fabrication capacity, steel pricing, and logistics trends affecting offshore wind supply chains. Evaluate supplier performance, capacity, ESG compliance, and financial health.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work closely with engineering, construction, transport & installation, legal, and finance teams. Provide commercial input into foundation design, fabrication sequencing, and installation strategies. Support project controls with cost modelling, forecasting, and reporting.Languages:
Fluency in English (written and spoken) is required.Professional Experience:
8+ years of procurement or commercial experience in offshore wind, oil & gas, or major infrastructure projects.Experience in procurement of foundation packages is strongly preferred. Experience with other offshore wind packages (e.G., electrical systems, WTGs, cables, transport & installation) is valuable.Familiarity with complex fabrication processes, international contracting, and offshore logistics is essential.Strong commercial acumen, strategic thinking, negotiation, and contract management skills.Leadership and stakeholder management skills across global teams.Familiarity with FIDIC, LOGIC, or similar contract forms.Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and procurement planning tools.High standards of ethics, accountability, and resilience under pressure.If you're interested, click apply or contact ersg.
