Handley James is excited to partner with an innovative business specializing in AI-powered pricing software solutions for the fuel and convenience industry. We are seeking a strategic and collaborative Sales Director to expand the reach of these advanced pricing solutions across Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, and Africa. Based in Europe and reporting to the Regional Director, you will work with leading fuel retailers, EV operators, and convenience store chains to implement smarter, AI-driven pricing strategies.
Your role involves managing complex, multi-stakeholder enterprise deals that require coordination across internal teams and client organizations, while also identifying and closing smaller, fast-moving opportunities. Success in this role entails seamlessly switching between long sales cycles and shorter, high-velocity wins.
You will join a global leader in AI-powered fuel and EV pricing solutions, a subsidiary of a multibillion-dollar group. The technology predicts consumer buying behavior in dynamic markets and is utilized by innovative retailers worldwide. Responsibilities:
* Proactively build and manage your sales pipeline—identify prospects, reach out, follow up, and qualify leads.
* Lead complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles with large global retailers—from prospecting and qualifying to launching proofs of concept, closing deals, and growing strategic accounts.
* Coordinate cross-functional teams (product, customer success, engineering, leadership) to deliver solutions aligned with client goals.
* Manage the deal process: timelines, stakeholder alignment, expectation management, and momentum maintenance.
* Understand client purchasing processes, including budget planning and internal politics, to navigate the buying journey effectively.
* Prepare and present forecasts, performance reports, and deal reviews to leadership.
* Keep abreast of industry trends, competitive offerings, and client challenges to refine your approach.
Requirements:
* Significant experience selling complex SaaS or software solutions, ideally in pricing, analytics, or retail tech.
* Proven success in closing high-value enterprise deals involving multiple stakeholders and long sales cycles.
* Ability to lead cross-functional collaboration and align internal teams with customer objectives.
* Strong project management skills with attention to detail and follow-through.
* Deep understanding of client buying behaviors, ROI justification, and internal approval processes.
* Fluency in English and willingness to travel across Europe.
* Established network in the forecourt industry and knowledge of retail fuel technology is a plus.
This role primarily covers the EMEA region, with some global travel. Ideally, candidates will be based near London, Barcelona, Frankfurt/Dusseldorf, or Copenhagen.

Our client offers a competitive salary of approximately €120,000 per annum (negotiable based on experience), up to 65% bonus based on targets, and tailored benefits depending on the country.
