The Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM), through its HiTech Research Center, opens a selection process to incorporate a highly motivated predoctoral student to the research project Conformational Diseases and Endoplasmic Reticulum Stress.
Duties of the position:
* Experimental development of the project in cellular and molecular biology.
* Design and execution of assays using CRISPR-Cas9 technology.
* Cell culture, microscopy, flow cytometry, molecular biology techniques, western-blot, etc.
* Analysis and interpretation of results.
* Collaboration with other members of the group.
* Participation in scientific meetings and elaboration of scientific manuscripts.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Microbiology or related discipline.
* Demonstrated interest in biomedical research or cellular and molecular biology.
* Previous laboratory experience (desirable): cell culture, molecular biology techniques, microscopy, western-blot, flow cytometry, etc.
* Ability to work autonomously and in a team.
* Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
* Initiative and creativity to carry out ideas.
* Knowledge in software such as Excel, R, PowerPoint, FlowJo or Illustrator (desirable).
