Job DescriptionAs a Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining MultiSafepay's data infrastructure.
Your primary focus will be ensuring that high-quality, scalable, and well-structured data is available to various teams within the organization.
You will play a crucial role in optimizing data processes, managing databases, and setting up efficient data pipelines for seamless data accessibility.What will you be doing?1.
Set up, maintain, and optimize databases, data warehouses, and ElasticSearch indexes2.
Design and implement scalable data pipelines for collecting, transforming, and storing data3.
Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards4.
Automate data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes5.
Work closely with data analysts, ensuring they have well-structured and accurate data for reporting6.
Monitor and optimize database performance, resolving bottlenecks and inefficiencies7.
Manage job queues using Mojolicious' Minion8.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Finance, Product, Marketing, and Compliance to understand data needsJob requirements1.
Proven experience in data engineering or related fields2.
Strong knowledge of ElasticSearch 7/8 and PostgreSQL 163.
Experience with Perl 5 is a plus4.
Proficiency in Java and Apache POI for handling structured data (optional but beneficial)5.
Experience with Apache FOP is a plus6.
Strong understanding of ETL processes and data pipeline architecture7.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize data performance8.
