**Wealth Management&Insuare; **division is looking for an **Operational Due Diligence Third-Party Funds Senior Analyst **, based in our Boadilla office.

**WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING**
As a member of Santander Wealth Management & Insurance you will have to perform operational due diligence reviews on prospective and existing third party Investment Funds, which includes not only Traditional Funds (Mutual Funds and ETFs) but also Alternative Funds opportunities (Private Equity, Real Estate, Private Debt...).
We need someone like you to help us in different fronts:
- Conduct operational due diligence reviews on prospective and existing Asset Managers across all asset classes (Mutual Funds, ETFs, Private Markets Real Estate, Infrastructure and Venture Capital)
- ODD activities include a risk-based approach in analyzing and assessing processes, systems, documentation, personnel and overall controls of the Asset Managers and Funds, pertaining to the following areas: Fund terms and Governance, Legal and Regulatory, Compliance, Trade Operations, Cash Controls, Counterparty Risk Management, Valuation, IT Infrastructure and Cybersecurity.
- Responsibilities include developing due diligence plans, reviews of managers’ documented procedures, attending onsite meetings with manager leadership teams (COO, CFO, CCO etc.), coordinating background checks, and preparing written analyses of managers’ business and operational capabilities and their risk management frameworks.
- Development and delivering solutions and presentations relating to assigned projects and goals as applicable.
EXPERIENCE
- 5+ years of experience in audit, operational due diligence, or hedge fund operations/accounting experience, strongly preferred.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, or similar. Master´s degree is a plus.
- High level of English is a must.
- CFA or CAIA preferred, not required
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE
- A strong understanding of the risks inherent within fund investments and financial instruments.
- Knowledgeable in a wide range of asset classes, financial instruments and alternative investment strategies not limited to hedge, private equity and credit, real estate and infrastructure.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
OTHER INFORMATION
Participates and supports to ensure that the function provides assurance on model risk to senior management according to internal audit standards, regulations and expectations of diverse stakeholders.
