We are looking for a
Simulation Software Engineer
to reinforce our Future Combat Simulation team in Getafe. The role involves defining and implementing complex simulation architectures for SIRTAP and FCAS projects. SIRTAP aims to enhance high-end tactical UAS capabilities, offering versatile missions for both institutional and governmental clients. The UAS is designed for operation under tough environmental conditions, certified for segregated airspace and civil operations, with endurance over 20 hours and altitude capabilities up to 21,000 feet, suitable for day/night and maritime ISR missions. The team operates in an international environment requiring close coordination with colleagues, stakeholders, and external partners in an Agile manner, so an Agile mindset is essential.Responsibilities:
Implement software models primarily in C++Develop tools for testing and simulation systems (e.G., Code / ICD Generators)Derive system requirements from operational needs for new simulator functionalitiesDevelop simulation models representing aircraft equipmentCreate simulator applications (Synthetic Environment, Simulator Control Stations, Distributed infrastructure, Debriefing tools, Management applications)Conduct unit, system, and acceptance tests (C++/Python)Perform integration testingManage suppliers and coordinate development with international partners and customersRequired Skills:
Experience in software design & testing, procedural and object-oriented programmingExperience with unit, system testing, and software integrationExperience in distributed systems;
aeronautical program experience is a plusStrong knowledge of C++17, Dockers, CMake, linters, multiplatform development, scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell), Linux (Debian, SLES, Ubuntu, RHEL7), CI/CD, communication protocols (TCP/IP, RS422, 1553, ZeroMQ, NATS, Protocol Buffers), GitExperience in simulation domains (avionics, rehostings, visual systems) and MATLAB Simulink is advantageousProactive, independent work capability, analytical and structured thinking, excellent English skills, willingness to travel occasionally within the EURelated Technologies:
