The Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG) is an international biomedical research institute of excellence, based in Barcelona, Spain, with more than 400 scientists from 44 countries. The CRG is composed by an interdisciplinary, motivated and creative scientific team which is supported both by a flexible and efficient administration and by high-end and innovative technologies.
The Junior Grants Financial Analyst supports the Post-Award Grants Management team by providing financial analysis, KPI monitoring and data-driven reporting for competitive research projects.
The role focuses on Power BI reporting, financial dashboards, forecasting support and process automation, helping grants managers and the Finance Department to improve financial visibility, monitor budget execution and support informed decision-making across the research project portfolio.
About the team
The CRG is seeking a Junior Grants Financial Analyst to join the Post-Award Grants Management team within the Finance Department.
The mission of the Grants Management Unit is to proactively support the CRG community in securing competitive funds for research and institute-related activities, as well as to manage the principal investigators’ core and external funding, with an individualized professional support throughout the project life cycle.

Professional experience
Must Have
* Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or related field
* Less than 3 years of experience in financial analysis, controlling, reporting or similar roles
* Solid skills in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Power BI proficiency is essential
* Advanced level of English, Spanish and Catalan, spoken and written
Desirable but not required/ Nice to have
* Previous experience in a research institution or public-funded projects is an advantage, but not required
* Experience with ERP Systems
Education and training
* Bachelor's or master's degree in business administration, Finance, Economics or equivalent
* A master’s degree in finance, Controlling, Data Analytics or similar will be considered an asset
Languages
* You must be fluent in Spanish and/or Catalan and English
Technical skills
* Numerical and Analytical skills
* You have knowledge of using new AI tools
* You have knowledge of Advanced Excel and Power BI and MS Office
* Experience with ERP Systems (will be valued)
Competences
* You have interest in data, automation and process optimisation
* You have ability to work in a structured, detail-oriented way
* You are highly motivated and eager to learn
