Garnica, a global leader in the plywood industry, seeks a Network Engineer to contribute to its mission of impressing clients worldwide with sustainable and innovative products. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for designing, standardizing, implementing, monitoring, and managing the company's networks to ensure maximum uptime.
Key Responsibilities
* Configuration Management: Designing system configurations, documenting, managing installations, and maintaining/upgrading existing systems as necessary.
* Network Design and Implementation: Designing and implementing new network solutions and/or improving the efficiency of current networks.
* Equipment Procurement and Installation: Procuring network equipment and managing subcontractors involved with network installation.
* Network Security and Optimization: Configuring firewalls, routing, and switching to maximize network efficiency and security.
* Change Management: Ensuring proper change management for network components.
Techical and Functional Management of External Teams
* Supplier Management: Manage and coordinate the work of our suppliers, including negotiations and estimates.
* External Team Coordination: Conduct follow-up meetings with external teams, defining tasks and priorities.
* Business Unit Collaboration: Manage the relationship between different business units and external providers.
Requirements
* Academic degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent.
* Cisco network and Microsoft certifications are a plus.
* Excellent Business English skills required.
* Very good Business Spanish required.
* Desirable but not required: French.
Experience
* Minimum 3 years of solid technical hands-on experience with networking elements, protocols, routing, firewalling, VPN, security, etc.
* Security mindset and experience.
* Willingness to travel between plants is required.
