We have funding for a technician (9 mo) to help in the study of how oncogenic microproteins function and how they can be used for biotechnological applications.
The Fortes lab ) aims to develop biotechnological tools based on artificial or natural long non-coding RNAs and derived microproteins.
We work to select, identify, and perform functional studies with the identified RNA or microproteins with the final aim of developing novel RNA therapeutics with a special focus on liver cancer.
We have a network of outstanding collaborators to expand our expertise from the bench to preclinical models and to the clinical setting.
The successful candidate will work on a cutting-edge experimental research project that moves from bioinformatic studies and cutting-edge molecular biology techniques (RiboSeq, immunopeptidomics, CRISPR screens, spatial transcriptomics, proximity-ligation proteomics), towards cellular validations and preclinical models (vaccine construction and evaluation of antitumor potential).
RequirementsYou have Experience in molecular biology, cell biology, animal handling, biochemistry, or related disciplines.
Pasion for science.
Strong interest in the research topic, high motivation and commitment Ability to work in a team and independently, in an international team with a highly collaborative atmosphere.
Fluency in English.
You might also have Experience with RNA and high throughput studies, library generation and wiliness to work with preclinical models Expertise in microproteins Experience in data analysis (R, Python).
To Apply Resume or CV.
Include 3 names and e-mail addresses for recommendation letters.
Cover Letter stating why you are interested in this challenge and how you might help the project to succeed.
