About the Function

Our Sales team loves building relationships, connecting with customers to sell our much‑loved brands in new and vibrant markets where they can thrive. They help sell our iconic brands across 180 countries every year. We’re operating across different markets, channels, and areas of expertise. Role Responsibilities

* Develop and implement long‑term strategic plans to establish and nurture strong, mutually beneficial relationships with Wholesale and/or Modern Trade customers, positioning Diageo as the preferred supplier and trusted strategic partner.
* Own end‑to‑end client accountability, maximising the Diageo Way of World Class Selling and ensuring seamless service and alignment with customer objectives.
* Analyze market trends and generate actionable insights to optimize Marketing and Commercial strategies for Wholesale and/or Modern Trade customers.
* Lead the development, implementation, and performance tracking of Joint Business Plans (JBPs), while identifying new growth opportunities to expand category presence and increase market penetration in TBA.
* Provide best‑in‑class account management by overseeing budget adherence, ensuring alignment with trade strategy, maintaining compliance with CARM, optimizing stock levels and product assortment, ensuring efficient distribution, facilitating timely cash collection, and supporting execution in both POS and eCommerce channels.
* Foster the development of functional and leadership competencies within the Key Account Management (KAM) team, ensuring high performance and continuous growth.
* Handle the in‑month sales forecasting process (S&OE), with weekly Sell In and Sell Out updates.


Leadership Responsibilities

* People Management: Direct management of a Key Account Executive, ensuring team performance and development.
* Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Coordinate teams across Finance, Supply, Marketing, and Customer Marketing to develop and implement Joint Business Plans, identifying key growth opportunities to drive market penetration.
* Strategic Partnerships: Build strong and balanced customer relationships, positioning Diageo as the supplier of choice through a comprehensive, customer‑focused approach.


Experience / Skills Required

* 4 years of experience in account management, including at least 2 years handling large/complex accounts
* Communication skills, ability to negotiate internally and externally
* Strong analytical, thoughtful planning, and negotiation skills
* Financial acuity and experience in P·L management
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in business or correlated areas
