At Qaracter, we are looking for a mid-level Embedded Engineer (3–6 years of experience) to join a hands-on project focused on the full lifecycle of an embedded product — from firmware evolution to hardware adjustments and lab validation.

This role is highly practical and adecuado for engineers who like being in the lab, testing, iterating, and bringing real products to life.

Your Mission
\n
You will be responsible for the end-to-end evolution of an embedded product, combining:
\n
- Firmware maintenance and continuous improvement
- Hardware adjustments for industrialization
- Support for testing, lab validation, and early-stage deployments
\n
What You’ll Do
\n
- Develop and maintain firmware in C/C++ (bare metal environments)
- Analyze and modify schematics and PCB designs
- Work hands-on in the lab with electronic equipment and prototypes
- Support product validation, testing, and troubleshooting
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to move from prototype → production
- Contribute to early installations and product stabilization

What We’re Looking For
\n
- 3–6 years of experience in embedded systems (hardware + firmware)
- Strong skills in C/C++ for embedded (bare metal)
- Ability to understand and modify schematics and PCB designs
- Comfortable working in an electronics lab environment
- Experience using KiCad (at least for modifications)
- Hands-on mindset with focus on practical problem-solving and product delivery

Nice to Have
\n
- Experience with embedded Ethernet
- Exposure to Real-Time Linux (RT Linux)
- Basic knowledge of mechanical CAD (enclosures, adjustments)
- Experience with soldering and prototype work
