Job Description
As SEO Specialist your main functions will be:
* Own SEO growth for the market by boosting the country's SEO Traffic and Revenue via capturing new keywords, improved keyword rankings and increasing Zooplus's share of organic visibility, in alignment with business/department goals and performance targets.
* Develop and implement successful SEO strategies that combine on-site, off-site, and technical elements while incorporating market-specific nuances and tailoring them to the country.
* Refine best practices over time through market testing and experimentation methodologies to optimize effectiveness.
* Handle content planning and analysis to maintain relevant search-engine-friendly as well as user-friendly content on landing pages, in alignment with global organic search strategies, across all platforms.
* Identify and act on onsite optimization opportunities, proactively updating tags, headlines, navigation, internal linking, images, schema, etc. for improved ranking on the SERPs
* Perform keyword research for multiple purposes, including guiding content creation, designing a keyword discovery strategy, and identifying new content opportunities.
* Monitor and flag technical SEO issues, recommending fixes and collaborating with Product to ensure implementation.
* Direct and implement off-page optimization projects, in order to build high-quality backlinks and enhance website ranking.
* Assist in developing and implementing the market's ASO (App Store Optimization) strategy, including content updates on the App.
* Liaise and collaborate with various teams including PPC, Product, Tech, Shop Management, Analytics, App, etc. as well as external agencies for Translation, Content Creation, Link Building, etc. to deliver SEO projects and campaigns.
* Participate in wider team discussions/brainstorm sessions for collective knowledge sharing and growth
* Team up with other market managers on joint projects for bigger impact
* Take part in regular team meetings to keep updated on other markets’ movements, activities, report on market performance, etc.
* Conduct ongoing analysis of market data to identify strengths and weaknesses, and effectively translate them into growth initiatives.
* Analyze competitors and evaluate their strengths and weaknesses, to incorporate learnings into the Zooplus SEO strategy.
* Analyze crawl data to identify crucial SEO measures.
* Collect and report data on Traffic, Rankings and other SEO KPI's, as part of performance updates to the regional lead and/or senior management.
* Ensure the team and company stay informed about SEO topics in the market through trainings, presentations, shared insights, reports, etc.
* Stay informed about changes in the search industry, in order to effectively utilize insights for strategic projects.
Qualifications
* At least 2-3 years of experience with a Strong understanding of current and standard SEO practices, along with the ability to stay updated on upcoming SEO trends, and Technical SEO expertise, including familiarity with HTML, CSS, XML sitemaps, and the ability to address crawl-related issues.
* Strong UX, creative, and copywriting skills, including the ability to integrate keywords into content.
* Proficient in a range of SEO tools including Screaming Frog, Adobe Analytics, Google Keyword Planner, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console.
* Strong organizational and leadership skills, along with project management expertise, to effectively own SEO campaigns.
* Analytical and perceptive professional with a numerical aptitude.
* Skilled communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both the market language( Dutch native proficiency) and English.
* Works well independently at the same time as being a good team-player.
