Medical Science Liaison (MSL) - Cardiovascular – Madrid
We are seeking an experienced Medical Science Liaison (MSL) with a background in Cardiometabolic to join our high-performance team in Madrid.
What You Will Do
- Serve as the field-based medical expert within the Medical Science Liaison group.
- Communicate accurate, clear, and valuable information regarding our science and products to multiple levels within the medical community, and provide field observations to internal stakeholders.
- Engage with healthcare stakeholders to educate and communicate clinical and scientific data to advance the scientific platform.
- Educate and communicate clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, key stakeholders, advocacy and access enablers.
- Respond to unsolicited inquiries consistent with MSL compliance standards.
- Provide and/or present field observations and insights to internal stakeholders.
- Execute the scientific engagement plan according to annual MSL goals and metrics.
- Develop and implement local OL plans in line with the scientific engagement plan.
- Support speaker training as requested and ensure speakers are updated on new data.
- Lead or participate on project teams that support MSL strategies and tactics as delegated by MSL leadership.
- Advance MSL value proposition, identify gaps, achieve results and set an example for others.
- Demonstrate tact and professionalism when communicating and interacting with others.
- Lead and support congress activities as aligned with strategy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues and serve as main point of contact when appropriate.
- Maintain clinical acumen and expertise and complete assigned training on time.
Minimum Requirements
- Medical or scientific education or experience from similar positions.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Health Sciences (medicine, pharmacy, biology or related disciplines).
- Minimum 3 years of solid experience as an MSL in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.
- Experience in affiliate Medical Department or Clinical Development.
- Experience in Cardiometabolic and preferred experience with oncology (OLs) in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Endocrinology.
- Medical / Scientific Research experience.
- Network of customer contacts in Madrid.
- Willingness to travel and possession of a valid driver’s license.

- Scientific expertise in the therapeutic area, related products, disease state, and interest in latest discoveries.
- Knowledge of value messages, clinical outcomes and patient benefits for the products.
- Solid understanding of the local healthcare system and decision-making.
- Strong project management skills.
- Strong presentation skills (in-person and virtually).
- Knowledge of commercialization and business practices.
- Good knowledge of clinical research, drug safety, legal and compliance environment.
- Willingness to continuously expand medical, scientific, market and industry knowledge.
