King's Infant School
Located in Madrid's Chamartín district, King's Infant School follows the English National Curriculum with experienced, caring British-qualified staff. In the Foundation Stage (Nursery and Reception), children have direct access to an outside learning environment. In Key Stage 1, we utilize resources from Madrid and have strong links with local museums and parks.
At the end of Key Stage 1, children transfer to King’s College Soto de Viñuelas or King’s College La Moraleja, with a robust transition program facilitating quick adaptation into Year 3.
We offer an Induction English Programme for children entering Year 1 and Year 2 with limited English. Spanish is taught in Years 1 and 2, complemented by an additional Spanish Club for international children.
Music, Drama, and P.E. are integral to our curriculum. Extracurricular activities include Piano, Violin lessons, a Music initiation group, Ballet, and Judo classes.
Each class is named after an animal, and we have a House System where older children can become House Captains, earning points for good behavior, responsibility, and academic effort. Our school promotes respect, friendship, and effort, celebrating achievements through certificates, stickers, and assemblies.
Our goal is to foster a positive learning environment that makes children feel at home, encouraging self-discipline, responsibility, and respect for others. Classroom displays showcase children's art, crafts, and literacy development materials.
