We are looking for a dynamic Strategy & Business Development Analyst with previous experience in the sourcing of waste and raw materials for renewable fuels and sustainable products. You will lead the complete cycle of these opportunities, from initial analysis to negotiation and follow-up, building market and competitive intelligence to guide strategic and origination decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Market Intelligence & Strategic Analysis:
2. Generate proprietary and relevant analyses (insights) from market and competitive information with a global focus (Americas, Asia, Europe, Africa).
3. Analyze all current commodities (conventional and renewable feedstocks, bios, emissions), and expand the scope to include other influential commodities in reference markets, identifying trends and impacts on the positioning and results of the Group/bio renewable oils and fuels business.
4. Anticipate and be proactive in the analytical needs of the Strategy and Business Development activity to build a proprietary medium- and long-term vision.
5. Diagnose the competitive situation of each Business in its environment, its business model, and value creation, analyzing key success factors and competitive advantages.
6. Actively participate in defining the environmental vision for strategic reflection and any Strategy analysis.
7. Business Development & Strategic Support:
8. Identify and propose strategic and business alternatives that optimize the decision-making process.
9. Collaborate in the valuation and development of Business Development (BD) projects.
10. Provide necessary market information to evaluate business opportunities.
11. Support Management in defining the general guidelines of the Strategic Plan, the company's global vision, and coordinating its deployment with the businesses.
12. Consolidate the company's equity story for its communication, presentation, and approval.
13. Provide technical and strategic/business consulting support to senior management.
14. Communication & Knowledge Management:
15. Prepare clear presentations, with a coherent narrative and based on historical data and projections, sharing and communicating them in various forums.
16. Be responsible for the conceptualization, definition, and implementation, if applicable, of third-party studies to develop specialized knowledge.
Academic Background:
17. Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business Administration (ADE), Engineering, or Communications.
Professional Experience:
18. Approximately +/- 3 years of professional experience, preferably as a market intelligence analyst or in business development.
Skills and Technical Knowledge:
19. Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint (essential).
20. Familiarity with other Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI will be valued.
21. Superior ability to analyze multiple sources of information and synthesize them to build a proprietary strategic vision.
Competencies and Requirements:
22. Conceptualization, Global Vision, and Synthesis Capability: Ability to understand complex landscapes and distill key information.
23. Proactivity and Enthusiasm: Self-motivation to anticipate needs and seek new solutions.
24. Excellent Communication Skills: Outstanding command of both spoken and written Spanish and English, to present ideas clearly and persuasively.
25. Teamwork and Resilience: Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage high-pressure situations.
