Position Description
We have a new role available within global product management to join the team at Airedale by Modine. The Global Product Manager role reports directly to the Product Management and Marketing Director for the Data Center vertical segment, leading the CRAH and Fanwall product category across all regions. This role is critical for improving and sustaining our profitability, technical edge, and unique selling propositions (USPs).
Key Responsibilities
* Owning the product line profitability, specifically gross margin and pricing throughout the product lifecycle.
* Leading and developing a business plan for the designated product category within the Data Center vertical in all regions.
* Conducting market analysis, competitive positioning, and pricing decisions for the designated product category.
* Determining the type and scope of new products developed, prioritising their development, and leading new product commercialisation.
* Collaborating with the wider product management team to ensure a clear, cohesive strategy for the full product portfolio and system solutions.
* Ensuring the voice of the customer is captured and integrated into business decisions to provide appropriate products and experiences.
* Advising Regional Product Managers to ensure strategy alignment and project execution within their regions.
* Researching and assessing market size, profitability, CAGR, and key trends; recommending and influencing the product roadmap.
* Recommending focus areas (market segments, geographies, products) and areas for exit, aligned with overall business strategy.
* Working with Aftermarket and Commercial Controls teams to ensure lifecycle revenue is maximized.
* Assessing competitors to understand and develop new and existing USPs.
* Determining pricing strategies based on market research, production and sales costs, and volume forecasts.
* Recommending current and future product lines based on value propositions to the business.
Required Education & Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in engineering or a related technical discipline. Equivalent experience in technical products and manufacturing is acceptable.
At least 5 years of professional experience with applicable products/markets is preferred. Experience in a commercial or client-facing role—such as Sales, Applications, Marketing, or Engineering—is also advantageous.
