Job Description
The Functional Lead – Transformation & Program leads complex, cross-functional regulatory programs that protect and enable the Flavors business across EMEA and key global interfaces. This role is central to the organization’s ability to manage and sustain major transformation, driving standardization, synergies, and operational excellence across regulatory ways of working. It aligns regional priorities with enterprise requirements to ensure compliant, efficient execution that supports ongoing growth and long-term business evolution in the ever-changing regulatory environment.
In addition to supporting the integration of newly acquired entities, this role provides ongoing leadership for major process and portfolio changes across EMEA. Serving as the regulatory program lead for strategic transformation initiatives, implementation plans, and cross-functional alignment, it ensures seamless transitions, effective knowledge transfer, and sustained compliance throughout every phase of change.
By defining and maintaining RSA KPIs, standardized reporting, and leadership-ready dashboards, it delivers clear visibility into delivery reliability, operational efficiency, and compliance outcomes. Through benchmarking and proactive performance management, the position drives data-based decisions that enhance regulatory service quality, predictability, and customer confidence. Representing EMEA in global regulatory excellence forums, it helps shape
harmonized standards and scalable tools that strengthen consistency and enable efficient, customer-focused execution across regions.
Value delivered: This role provides dedicated program leadership for high-impact, high-complexity regulatory work that otherwise competes with compliance assessments, customer engagements and day-today business gaining activities. It reduces integration and change risk, improves execution speed and consistency, and frees technical regulatory experts to focus on assessments, customer support, and market access—while ensuring EMEA commitments are met and global alignment is maintained.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Regulatory Synergies
• Convert Flavors RSA priorities (Regional and global) into an integrated program roadmap with clear scope, milestones, owners, dependencies, and risk controls—ensuring disciplined execution and visibility across stakeholders.
• Lead end-to-end delivery of regulatory synergy initiatives impacting EMEA Flavors (and general touchpoints), ensuring alignment to enterprise standards, timely decision-making, and compliance with regional and global requirements.
• Serve as the regulatory program lead for newly acquired sites and major integration activities impacting EMEA, partnering with global and regional functions to transition sites into ADM systems, governance, and regulatory ways of working.
• Lead regulatory workstreams for product transfers and supply changes relevant to EMEA, ensuring readiness plans, documentation, and stakeholder communications are in place to protect customers and maintain business continuity.
• Coordinate regulatory inputs that enable cross-selling and portfolio expansion affecting EMEA Flavors—clarifying requirements, aligning positions, and removing execution barriers across business units and regions.
• Own the program risk register for synergy and integration activities (transitions, site integrations, acquisitions), driving mitigation actions, timely escalation, and decision records to minimize compliance and customer disruption.
• Establish stakeholder governance (steering updates, working sessions, and decision forums) with RSA leadership and key cross-functional partners to ensure alignment, rapid issue resolution, and effective knowledge transfer during synergy initiatives.
Regulatory Excellence (Processes and Performance Metrics).

• Define, implement, and maintain KPIs and standardized reporting that accurately measure delivery reliability (on-time milestones), operational efficiency (cycle time), and compliance/risk outcomes for key regulatory programs—ensuring that customer expectations are consistently met through
transparent performance tracking and proactive resource management.
• Deliver leadership-ready dashboards and concise narrative updates that highlight progress, risks, required decisions, and realized benefits. Benchmark performance across regions and recommend targeted improvement actions to enhance regulatory service quality, predictability, and customer
confidence.
• Integrate customer scorecards into RSA’s KPIs, ensuring regulatory performance is aligned with ADM’s commercial strategy and customer stratification model to strengthen collaboration with strategic partners and growth accounts, driving consistent, high-quality regulatory support that enhances customer satisfaction and business continuity.
• Represent EMEA Flavors in global regulatory excellence forums, contributing to the development of global standards, scalable tools, and harmonized ways of working—enabling efficient resource engagement and consistent, customer-focused execution that can be replicated across regions as the role evolves.

CAPABILITIES & SKILLS
• Understanding of EMEA and global regulatory frameworks relevant to food, beverages, colours, flavours, and functional ingredients, with proven ability to apply compliance requirements across multiple business units.
• Ability to lead regulatory integrations, site transitions, and synergy initiatives while maintaining compliance and business continuity.
• Expertise in harmonising regulatory systems, processes, and documentation to improve efficiency and consistency, and alignment across business units.
• Ability to lead complex, cross-functional projects with clear timelines, stakeholder alignment, and compliance oversight.
• Proven ability to develop, interpret, and apply performance metrics to drive efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, prioritisation, and decision-making skills, able to work independently and perform effectively under pressure in complex environments.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and organizational skills, including the ability to translate regulatory topics for non-regulatory audiences and connect them to business context.
• Proven ability to build strong relationships, foster alignment, and resolve conflicts among regulatory teams, business units, and leadership to achieve shared goals.
• Executive presence, with creativity and sound judgement in delivering solutions to complex regulatory and business challenges.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCES
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in relevant scientific or technical field such as: Food Science, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Nutrition or related discipline in life sciences.
• Proven track record in regulatory affairs within food, beverage, or flavour industries.
• Experience leading regulatory integrations for mergers, acquisitions, or site transitions and related activities.
• Demonstrated success managing product transfers between regions.
• Experience developing and implementing performance metrics or benchmarking regulatory operations.
• Exposure to cross-regional collaboration or global organisations.
• Experience representing a business unit or region in global regulatory forums or excellence initiatives.
• Background in continuous improvement or process harmonisation projects.
• Experience managing teams or leading cross-functional projects with regulatory oversight.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken); additional EMEA languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish) are a plus.
