**Job Details**:
**Role summary**
The Payroll Manager is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all payroll-related, ensuring legal fulfilment with all public administration and HR operations within Alliance Healthcare, Alloga and World Courier Spain, in total just under 1500 employees. They are responsible for ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory payroll obligations, as well as the efficient and accurate management of employee salaries.
**Reporting line**
The role reports to the Vice President of HR Shared Services with a dotted line to the Country HR Manager.
**Main Responsibilities**:
- Supervise and manage a team of 3 HR/Payroll administrators.
- Monitor absences, paid leave, overtime, bonuses, and other variable pay elements.
- Collaborate with HR departments to ensure good coordination between employee information (recruitment, transfers, promotions, departures) and their impact on payroll.
- Perform necessary checks to ensure the integrity of payroll data (pay slip verification, complex calculations, SOX controls).
- Manage relations with any outside agencies (public entities) and ensure compliance with deadlines for mandatory declarations.
- Participate in the maintenance and development of IT tools that manage payroll-related processes.
- Work with other Cencora organisations in Spain and Portugal with the aim to have one payroll system for all Cencora team members across both countries by the end of 2026.
**Required Skills**:
- Solid knowledge of Spanish labour law, current social and tax regulations.
- Advanced proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft
- Ease in a multi-agreement and multi-site context.
- Managerial skills to lead a high-performing team.
- Administrative rigor to ensure precise and reliable tracking of payroll-related elements.
- Confidentiality in handling sensitive employee information.
- Good interpersonal skills to interact with various internal (HR) or external (social organizations) stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset and ability to solve problems related to the complexities sometimes encountered in payroll.
- Exceptional judgement on when to work independently and when to escalate issues to avoid problems being compounded.
- Good English level
**Education and Experience**:
- Degree in Labour relations / Law or equivalent
- Significant experience in managing payroll in Spanish companies, ideally in a multinational group
- Significant professional experience in a multi-site operational environment.
