We are looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Guidewire Developer to join our dynamic Zurich Guidewire Team (ZGT).
ZGT is a hub for innovation, expertise development, and service delivery, supporting the Guidewire platform and related tech-stack globally within Zurich. This team develops and delivers digital capabilities, core platform solutions, integrates AI, and builds reusable assets and components on both on-premises and Guidewire cloud versions. We operate from multiple technology delivery centres worldwide to support our business units.
This position is based in Barcelona Technology Delivery Center (TDC), established in 2006, providing technological solutions and support to Zurich's local and global business units.

What Can You Expect?
As a Senior Guidewire Developer, you will :
* Lead the design, development, and implementation of Guidewire products - InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter), Digital platforms (Engage and Jutro), and related integrations.
* Analyze and propose solutions leveraging out-of-the-box Guidewire modules, recommending customizations when required.
* Translate business requirements into technical specifications and innovative solutions.
* Partner with Business Systems Analysts & Product Owners to compare solutions, perform cost/benefit analysis, risk assessments, and scope definitions.
* Develop integration interfaces using Guidewire APIs, web services, and third-party tools.
* Support end-to-end development lifecycle, including story grooming, sprint testing, and coordination with other teams.
* Mentor junior developers and provide technical leadership.
* Ensure best practices in coding, testing, and deployment, adhering to Guidewire cloud standards and Zurich guidelines.
* Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing solutions.
* Collaborate with architects for architectural alignment and compliance.
* Evaluate project impacts through consultations with various teams.
* Participate in Agile ceremonies and promote building reusable assets.
Qualifications
Required :
* Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering, with 5+ years of IT experience OR High School Diploma with 10+ years of IT experience.
* 5+ years of experience with Guidewire platforms (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter) / ACE Certification.
* Strong experience with Guidewire xCentres (on-premises and GWCP).
* Expertise in Guidewire Gosu programming, configuration, and integration.
* Experience with Java, web services (SOAP/REST), and databases.
* Strong problem-solving skills, proactive attitude, and excellent communication skills.
* Guidewire Product Knowledge (Jutro, Advanced Product Designer, etc.).
* Ability to work collaboratively with global teams and lead initiatives.
* Customer-focused mindset and results-oriented approach.
Preferred :
* Guidewire certifications.
