Senior Director – Search Engine Marketing (SEM) and Digital Advertising
to lead the creation of an in-house SEM and digital advertising team within the MarComm department. This team will function like an internal performance marketing agency, combining existing and new resources to deliver scalable, measurable, and efficient search and performance strategies across all divisions of the TransPerfect Global Group.The primary mission of this role is to deliver high performance in brand awareness and qualified lead generation through effective strategy and execution. The Senior Director will work closely with stakeholders across leadership, marketing, sales, production, and vendors, providing top-tier service levels—faster, smarter, and more cost-effective than external agencies—while being held accountable for results.Key Responsibilities:
Build and lead TransPerfect’s in-house SEM team as a strategic center of excellence.Define the internal agency model, including processes, SLAs, workflow, and reporting standards.Serve as a senior strategist and thought leader on paid search and digital advertising best practices.Lead quarterly performance reviews and SEM opportunity briefings across business units.Develop high-trust relationships with key stakeholders and divisional leaders.Campaign Development & Execution:
Manage end-to-end campaign lifecycle from planning to reporting.Translate marketing briefs into paid search strategies with aligned messaging and targeting.Manage bidding, keyword planning, and targeting to ensure ROI.Oversee ad copy creation, testing, and experimentation.Performance Management & Optimization:
Monitor and optimize campaigns in real-time to meet KPIs.Provide actionable reports and insights regularly.Collaborate with teams to align paid search with broader campaigns.Lead a test-and-learn agenda for new ad types and platforms.Cross-Team Partnership & Enablement:
Act as the strategic SEM partner to internal marketing teams.Conduct internal SEM training and support.Foster a culture of performance-driven marketing.Minimum Requirements:
8+ years in SEM or performance marketing roles, with 3+ years managing paid search at scale.Experience building or running high-volume SEM campaigns for B2B and B2C brands.Strong knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Google Analytics, and conversion tracking tools.Experience with paid channels like LinkedIn, Meta, etc.Deep understanding of top-of-funnel digital advertising strategies.Leadership experience in building teams and running agency-style operations.Exceptional data literacy and analytical skills.Strong communication and stakeholder influence skills.Hands-on, proactive, organized leadership style.Why TransPerfect?
