Scopely is looking for a Web Tools Engineer to serve on and elevate our new casual game, Monopoly GO! team in Seville on a hybrid basis. What You Will Do As a Web Tools Engineer, you will play a crucial role in setting the bar for how we approach C# web development for our mobile game. Your work will be a hybrid between C# backend development and front-end web technologies, focusing on building high-quality tools that assist in the development of our project. Your day to day duties may include:
1. Develop and maintain web tools to support various aspects of the game development process
2. Collaborate with game designers, artists, and programmers to understand project requirements and implement tools that streamline development workflows
3. Participate in code and architecture reviews, providing feedback and suggestions to improve the quality and maintainability of our tools
4. Work with the team to establish best practices and coding standards for C# web development
5. Keep up-to-date with the latest C# web development technologies and techniques. We’re looking for someone to guide the direction we should move in
6. Provide technical mentorship and guidance to less senior team members, helping them grow their skills and knowledge
What We're Looking For
7. Strong background in C# web development, with a focus on building web tools and applications
8. Solid knowledge of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript
9. Experience working with modern web frameworks and libraries, such as React, Angular, or
10. Familiarity with game development concepts and tools, although a specific background in games is not required
11. Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills, with the ability to quickly understand complex systems
12. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work well with diverse teams
13. A passion for engineering best practices and a dedication to producing high-quality code
14. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and programming languages
Bonus Points
15. Experience with Blazor and WebAssembly
16. Familiarity with mobile game development for Android and iOS platforms
17. Strong UI/UX design skills
18. Knowledge of web performance optimization techniques
