Job Summary
We are seeking experienced Recreational Therapists to join our customer’s team as AI Trainers. In this unique remote role, you will leverage your expertise in therapeutic recreation to train, evaluate, and guide AI systems. Your input will ensure AI models reflect best practices, compassionate care, and individualized interventions, ultimately enhancing patient outcomes across healthcare settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and curate AI training materials, case scenarios, and therapeutic activities based on real-world recreational therapy practices.
* Teach AI systems about recreational therapy interventions, including sports, arts, music, dramatics, relaxation techniques, and social activities tailored to diverse patient populations.
* Review and annotate AI outputs, providing expert feedback to ensure accuracy, empathy, and adherence to approved therapeutic approaches.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate clinical scenarios into actionable AI training data.
* Evaluate AI performance and recommend improvements to optimize understanding of therapy interventions and patient outcomes.
* Document findings, report progress, and clearly communicate therapeutic concepts to technical teams.
* Stay current with emerging trends and evidence-based practices in recreational therapy to refine AI capabilities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Current or prior experience as a Recreational Therapist in clinical environments (hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers).
* Expertise in therapy program planning, patient assessment, and activity modification.
* Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with clarity, empathy, and attention to detail.
* Ability to observe, analyze, and document patient responses and therapy outcomes.
* Experience developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
* Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
* Strong interest in integrating technology and AI with therapeutic practices.
Preferred Qualifications
* Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) or equivalent credential.
* Prior experience contributing to AI, digital health platforms, or clinical data annotation projects.
* Familiarity with multidisciplinary teamwork in patient care environments.
