Overview Join to apply for the Water Infrastructure Manager, AWS EMEA Energy & Water Team role at Amazon Web Services (AWS) .The EMEA Energy and Water team is looking for a Water Infrastructure Manager to support scaling and growth across our Data Centre network. If you like to drive the development, implementation and construction of new water infrastructure, your work will help deliver large-scale water projects that our infrastructure needs to renewably and strategically operate.This role is available in Madrid, Zaragoza, London, Frankfurt, and Dublin.AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running, supporting all AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to innovation. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.You'll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You'll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost. AWS maintains an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.The Worldwide Sustainability (WWS) organization drives solutions that enable customers, businesses, and the world to become more sustainable, leveraging Amazon's scale and speed.Key responsibilities You will manage design consultants, contractual drafting, develop and document requirements, budgets, and project schedulesYou will manage remote 3rd party project delivery teams from design through to construction, facilitate technical whiteboard sessions to troubleshoot project implementation issues, and remove barriers to project successYou will multitask and re-prioritize and effectively lead deliveries based on changing business needsYou will build and maintain the overall delivery program and project budget, submitting Capital Allocation Requests to Senior Leadership to secure finance for project deliveryYou will prepare investment need/business case papers to secure internal funding for water reinforcement projects to secure water supply and dischargesA day in the lifeLiaison with regulators and external stakeholders (water utilities, environmental agencies, health department, construction contractors, etc.)Leverage project management tools and techniques for all phases of the project lifecycleRegularly report to senior leadership on status of key project metricsEnsure construction standards are followed and national construction regulations are complied withCreate detailed planning packs to build scalable and future-proof water infrastructureAbout The Team ABOUT AWS: Diverse experiences.
