- PositionThe Operational Product Owner (OPO) plays a key role in shaping and delivering product features and improvements that drive value from both a business and customer perspective. Acting as the bridge between strategic intent and execution, the OPO ensures that all product initiatives are clearly defined, purpose-driven, and aligned with stakeholder expectations. This role requires strong leadership in scoping, planning, and coordinating product features while maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the development process. The OPO is also responsible for critical decision-making across key product phases (F0 to FG) within their Product Customer Project Board (PCPB) scope.
- Key Responsabilities- Secure the overall priorities in the Team backlog
- Secure that the team knows what we do and why we do it to contribute to high team motivation
- Secure that each feature is developed with good quality and promote a product level quality thinking
- Propose solution to findings from XFT, SM, SA, DA etc, back to the stakeholders to ensure the right scope in the features
- Develop business and technical understanding within the domain
Key Tasks- Engage with CU/Customer in technical scope and planning discussions for PCPBs.
- Ensure alignment with T and O-dimension for a clear understanding of PCPB planning and scope.
- Ensure that the solutions are balancing technical solution and customer requirements
- Break down PCPB to incremental pieces together with stakeholders and the team to maximize delivered product value
- Prioritize and keep Team Backlog content (Feature, Improvement, TR and Support work) up-to-date and visible
- Be transparent whenever a scope cut is needed and secure the handling of any introduced technical debt due to the scope cut.
