RESPONSIBILITIES

The Center for Research in Agricultural Genomics (CRAG) is looking for a PhD Student to be part of the group Computational and Synthetic Biology.
The candidate will be in charge of:
- Culture and genetic engineering of microalgae
- Cloning of genes and luciferase activity test
- Protein expression test
The tasks are included within the framework of the BioLumCity project, code PID2023-153241OB-I00 «DESARROLLO DE CHLAMYDOMONAS REINHARDTII DEGRADADORAS DE MICROPLASTICOS. Funded by the Fritz y Trude Fortmann foundation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Educational requirements:
- Master’s degree in biology, Biochemistry, Food Biotechnology or Biotechnology
Experience:
- Should have knowledge in plant molecular biology
- Experience in microalgae transformation, promoter engineering experience, microalgae culture are essential.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Contract Duration: 6 months
Hours/week: full time
