Then look no further; you’ll be a great fit for The Ocean Race. We are seeking a results-oriented Digital Marketing Coordinator or Intern to join our Marketing department. You will play a key role in developing B2C digital marketing strategies that attract, nurture, and convert audiences. This position focuses on planning and executing digital advertising campaigns, strategy optimization, and measuring and reporting on these activities from start to finish.
The Digital Marketing Coordinator will report to the Marketing Director and will be responsible for:
* Conceptualizing and executing marketing campaigns within established KPIs.
* Adapting campaigns to all digital platforms.
* Developing and managing digital competitions and activities across company platforms.
* Analyzing campaign performance and recommending improvements.
* Collaborating with graphic designers to enhance visual outputs.
* Maintaining a customer database for correspondence.
* Distributing emails using automation software, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
* Monitoring and reporting campaign and database performance metrics, including opens, clicks, conversions, and unsubscribes.
* Conducting A/B tests, managing testing schedules, recording results, and advising on improvements.
* Aligning activities with business priorities and internal stakeholders.
Additionally, the role involves working closely with our Game developer to manage the success of our Online Game, including:
* Managing marketing campaigns and user engagement for Virtual Regatta's The Ocean Race Offshore-Game.
* Developing campaigns and overseeing results for the Stopover E-Cups.
* Managing the Teams E-Sport competition.
Managing our Metaverse
* Overseeing daily operations of the Metaverse.
* Developing and hosting special events within the Metaverse.
* Collaborating with the Sustainability Team to promote and implement sustainability activities inside the Metaverse.
The role also provides support to other departments such as hospitality, events, and operations as needed.
Depending on whether the final candidate is a Coordinator or Intern, expectations will be adjusted accordingly.
This full-time position is based in Alicante, requiring immediate start. The project runs until the end of 2023, with potential for continuation based on The Ocean Race's long-term strategy.
Minimum requirements include:
* A degree in marketing management, advertising, communications, or similar.
* Experience with database management, preferably in a similar role.
* Familiarity with automation and performance evaluation software.
* Strong project management skills specific to marketing.
* Excellent copywriting and editing skills.
* Ability to collaborate effectively to produce high-quality content.
* Willingness to work extended hours if necessary.
* A forward-thinking, dynamic attitude.

* Living in or willing to relocate to Alicante, Spain.
* EU nationality or ability to obtain necessary EU work permits quickly.
